The post quickly drew negative attention, with many wondering whether Djokovic had been exempted from the rules because of his status within the tennis community. Particularly fierce criticism came from within Australia, where more than 90% of adults are now fully vaccinated. “I think lots of people in the Victorian community will find this to be a disappointing outcome,” said acting Victorian Sports Minister Jaala Pulford at a media conference. “But the process is the process; nobody has had special treatment.
